Reconstitution Guide

Standard Reconstitution Protocol

  1. Clean work surface with 70% isopropyl alcohol and allow to dry completely.
  2. Use bacteriostatic water (BW) or sterile water for injection.
  3. Allow vial to reach room temperature before opening.
  4. Inject the reconstitution liquid slowly down the side of the vial — do not inject directly onto the lyophilized powder.
  5. Gently swirl (do not shake) until powder is fully dissolved.
  6. Allow solution to rest for 2–3 minutes before drawing.
  7. Store reconstituted peptides refrigerated (2–8°C). Use within 28 days.

Storage Guidelines

  • Lyophilized (dry) peptides: Store at −20°C. Stable for 24 months.
  • Reconstituted peptides: Store at 2–8°C. Use within 28 days.
  • Avoid: Repeated freeze/thaw cycles, direct sunlight, and temperature fluctuations.
  • Label: Always label with peptide name, concentration, and date of reconstitution.

Safety Precautions

  • Always work in a clean, controlled environment.
  • Use appropriate PPE: gloves, lab coat, and eye protection.
  • Follow your institution's standard operating procedures for research chemicals.
  • Dispose of all materials in accordance with local biohazard regulations.
